Arcadis, a leading global design and consultancy firm for natural and built assets, is thrilled to announce its appointment to three significant healthcare projects across the United Kingdom. These key projects include the Airedale New Hospital Programme in West Yorkshire, the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust's New Hospital Programme, and the proposed 100,000 square foot expansion at Aintree Hospital. These partnerships build on Arcadis’ expertise in delivering world-class healthcare facilities that increase social value and create a healthier and more liveable United Kingdom.
Airedale New Hospital Programme
Arcadis has been selected as Trust Cost Advisor in the £1.5 billion Airedale New Hospital Redevelopment Programme, a significant scheme to deliver a new state-of-the-art healthcare facility in West Yorkshire. This appointment will see Arcadis support the production of the Business Case, working in collaboration with a number of delivery partners. The new facility will replace the existing Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) hospital and provide a modern, safe and efficient healthcare environment, improving patient outcomes and experiences.
Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust
Arcadis is also proud to be selected as cost managers for the new Women’s and Children’s hospital project in Cornwall as part of the governments New Hospital Programme. This significant investment will deliver over 20,000 m² of modern hospital space, designed to provide state-of-the-art digitally enabled facilities and world-class care for the 590,000 residents of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly it serves. As cost managers, Arcadis will be responsible for ensuring that this ambitious project is delivered efficiently, within budget, and aligns with the highest standards of value for money.
Aintree University Hospital Expansion
Arcadis led the design on part of the proposed 100,000 square foot expansion at Aintree University Hospital in Fazakerley, a part of NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group. Arcadis is working in partnership with IHP, WSP, Appletons, AJP, Hoare Lea, GRM, Eddisons, and Iteriad on this programme.
