Arcadis, a leading data driven global design and consultancy organisation for natural and built assets, has been engaged by Webuild to provide a range of technical design, engineering and sustainability services on the New Women and Babies Hospital Project.
Webuild, under the banner of WA Life, is the appointed Managing Contractor for the new Women and Babies Hospital at the Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct and major expansion of Osborne Park Hospital.
The landmark project is set to expand services and choice for women, newborns and families, replacing the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital.
As part of the design and delivery team, Arcadis will provide sustainability, traffic, whole-of-life and environmental management advice for both sites. Arcadis is also leading the hydraulics and fire protection design at the WBH.
Maha Momeni, Sector Lead for Social Infrastructure at Arcadis, said: “We’re proud to be part of a project that will make such a lasting impact on the lives of women and families.”
Arcadis’ role includes early integration of climate resilience and carbon planning into the design, with sustainability principles underpinning the design of the new hospital and health facilities.
