Arcadis, a leading global design and consultancy organization for natural and built assets, won Gold at the Better Future New York Design Awards 2024. The award recognizes Arcadis’s work in the Interior Design – Hospitality category with the redesign of the historic Brooklyn Paramount Theatre.
The Better Future New York Design Awards celebrates design excellence across categories, applauding the role of design and all steps of the design process including product, digital, interiors, architecture, graphic, textile, events, fashion, advertising, food, experience, and publications. The Interior Design – Hospitality award honors innovative and creative building interiors. Consideration is given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation, and functionality, as well as space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting fixtures, flooring, colors, furnishings and surface finishes.
Earlier this year, Arcadis announced the completion of their revitalization efforts for the Brooklyn Paramount Theatre. Arcadis's restoration of the theatre balances preserving its heritage with incorporating modern touches. The team responsible for the design work includes Sterling Plenert, Keith Wlosek, Courtney Carabello, Laura Lewi, Kayla Paff, Franz Heine, Alex Guzman, Stephanie Gottlieb, and Gabriel Lam.
Mansoor Kazerouni, Global Director, Architecture and Urbanism at Arcadis, said: “This accolade celebrates a project we take great pride in while elevating the profile of our Architecture and Urbanism division. We are proud to win this award and are happy to see the hard work of our team recognized.”
Keith Wlosek, Associate Principal at Arcadis, said, “We’re pleased to receive recognition from Better Future Design New York. The work of our talented design team on the Brooklyn Paramount’s redesign highlights our multidisciplinary expertise across the company.”
Recognized projects across all categories will advance to the global WILD Design Awards, presented during WILD Week Iceland, a multi-day design study tour and global networking event from March 24-28, 2025.
