Simon Crowe graduated with a degree in Physics from the University of Liverpool. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Member of the Executive Board in September 2025, bringing more than 30 years of international experience as a Group CFO across NYSE-listed and private equity-backed businesses in Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa.
Before joining Arcadis, Simon served as CFO at Wood Mackenzie, a global provider of data and analytics for the energy, renewables, and natural resources sectors. Before that, he was with ERM, where he helped transform the business—during his tenure he led numerous acquisitions, delivered sustained double-digit annual growth, and supported the company’s sale from OMERS and AIMCo to KKR.
Earlier in his career, Simon held the role of Group CFO at Acergy, managing a $5 billion global business and overseeing the complex finance integration following its merger with Subsea7. He began his career at Rhône Poulenc and went on to hold senior finance roles at National Power, Aquila, Transocean, and GasLog LNG.
Simon is recognized as a business-driven finance leader, known for clarity and openness in his approach. His broad commercial and financial expertise, combined with international experience across consulting, infrastructure, and energy, make him well placed to align Arcadis’ financial strategy with its global ambitions and growth.
