This helps us understand the service these assets can provide and the best options we can deploy to balance investment and meet our customer’s service objectives. This work feeds into our investment plans so we can optimise how we deploy our solutions. Arcadis have supported us on this journey and provided innovative solutions that meet this goal.

Arcadis's EDA provided the analytical capability Northumbrian Water needed to make optimal decisions for infrastructure assets while reducing reliance on external consultancy. Deployed onto its MS Azure cloud environment, EDA strengthened internal modeling and optimization capabilities, optimizing asset investments for business plans.
The Impact
With Arcadis's EDA, Northumbrian Water reduced external consultancy reliance, ran multiple investment scenarios, and minimized carbon footprint.
Following the successful implementation of EDA for clean water infrastructure, Arcadis delivered a waste-water model for Northumbrian Water's gravity network. This enabled the organization to understand the impact of sustainable, long-term investment over 25 years, leading to optimized deployment of solutions and balanced investments to meet customer service objectives.
